Sociology is the systematic study of people in groups and societies. The syllabus focuses mainly on modern Britain but some comparison with earlier times and with other societies will be made. We consider the explanations offered by sociologists for the way that people behave and we look at the research evidence on which these explanations are based. The course assumes no previous knowledge.
Course Units
The course normally leads to A Level after two years; students will take two AS and A2 exams. This subject does not involve course work.
